Jay Fuhrman is a high school English teacher in Denver, Colorado. After completing his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at St. Lawrence University Jay began teaching at The Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich, Connecticut. He taught there for two years before moving to Rumsey Hall School, a junior boarding school in Washington Depot, Connecticut. At Rumsey he taught Eighth and Ninth grade English as well as coached multiple sports and served as a dorm parent. He aims to create close relationships with all of his students and show them the power of the written word, creativity, and critical thinking.
Jay's interests are primarily outdoor based, including skiing, biking, and hiking with his dog. He is also a bluegrass music fan and enjoys playing the banjo and guitar.
